Facial Redness: What is Rosacea and how to Treat it

Embarrassment of love or difficult problems? We will explain why the redness and swelling of rosacea has nothing to do with the nature of the redness.

What is rosacea? Couperose is a synonym for “telangiectasia” – a physiological condition of the body related to the breakdown of blood circulation in the epidermis. The symptoms of lupus have been known since ancient times and have not changed much since then. Women in ancient Rome suffered from this problem, as do women today. Ten percent of the world’s population now suffers from persistent dilated blood vessels in the skin. Most often, women of Celtic descent (Irish, Welsh, and those with skin types 1 and 2) suffer from this condition.

In India, rosacea accounts for 21 percent of all skin diseases in women. And that number is growing, thanks to the availability of products and methods aimed at reducing them.

Causes of rosacea
Sunlight, cold, wind, wind, harmful radiation – all this affects the appearance of the skin. As a result of photoaging, not only the skin, but also blood vessels lose their elasticity. Usually, they expand and dilate, but here they stop contracting and filling with blood – we see a constant redness of the face, turning into a network of red blood vessels.

In addition to the sun, the cause of rosacea can also be heat (for example, outdoors or in a sauna), sudden changes in temperature, smoking (warning on the package about nicotine, which damages the lining of blood vessels, does not allow them to empty), spicy foods, alcohol.

By the way, if previous cosmetic experts told you to stop drinking red wine if you have rosacea, a study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology showed that white wine and alcoholic beverages are more harmful to blood vessels. But even if you worship the god of health and do not drink or smoke, you cannot avoid serious problems. Genetic predisposition, various diseases, including endocrine and rheumatic diseases, fetal problems, hormonal imbalance, stress and poor skin care – this is a whole list of reasons for the development of rosacea. In addition, cosmetologists should correct the consequences of the love of many women for facial massage and other aggressive massage techniques, which can also cause rosacea.
