How to Treat Dry Hands – Beauty Tips

We can’t live without moisturizer these days, but what about those who have dry and dehydrated hands from using moisturizer?

Using products that contain alcohol often causes redness, itching, stinging, burning, and may even cause allergic reactions. Ideally, you should use a cleanser with glycerin, propylene glycol, oil, and aloe vera listed second through fifth in the ingredient list. On the other hand, the best-formulated cleanser is not ethanol (denatured ethanol) but isopropyl alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). The latter is harmful to the skin but gentle on the skin. If you have sensitive skin, try to look for products that contain chlorhexidine – this will be at the top of the ingredient list.

It’s not just about washing your hands, but also about what’s in your hand sanitizer. For dry and atopic skin, use a shower gel or body wash instead of traditional soap.

Always dry your hands after washing: even small drops of water can irritate dry skin.

In between treatments, use a hand cream that contains glycerin, shea butter, avocado oil, and aloe vera. The more the better, but at least three times a day.

Pure petroleum jelly (pure pharmaceutical grade) protects and soothes the skin; it is inexpensive and works very well as a preservative. But only as a precaution – if there are no signs of menopause yet. In addition to pure petroleum jelly, you can also use glycerin without added fragrances, which is available in pharmacies. Use both products at night before going to bed or watching TV. The best SOS products, especially for already broken or red skin, are those that contain a protective agent (a special skin softener and healing agent). The most common is dexpanthenol (cream or ointment). Apply a thick layer at night – like an eye mask.
