Dr. Jart+ Intensive Soothing Gel Repair Cream
It’s no secret that K-Beauty has consistently made a name for itself in a market where trends change daily. The launch of popular Korean skincare brand Dr.Jart+ in India has further boosted the demand. Dr.Jart+ went viral with the launch of its BB cream in 2004. We tried the Intensive Soothing Gel Repair Cream (€3,200, buy here) from the Cicapair range. It contains Tiger Grass or Centella Asiatica, a hero ingredient known for its skin-soothing properties. Its gel-cream texture makes it lightweight. It’s highly moisturizing and reduces redness with no doubt. The effectiveness of allantoin, an ingredient that protects the skin barrier, is still unclear, but it’s a must-have for anyone who wants to spend money on skincare. The brand is sold exclusively by Nykaa.
PureSense 2% Hyaluronic Acid with Watermelon Burst Glow Facial Serum:
If there’s one product that’s become as famous as fame, it’s facial serums. So when a brand offers yet another “moisturizing” solution, the challenge is even bigger. Lucky for PureSense, it’s their 2% Hyaluronic Acid with Watermelon Burst Glow formula (€399, buy here). Fruit extracts are a staple of the brand’s ingredients list, and watermelon’s high water content makes skin less dry and more plump, thanks to the hyaluronic acid. This serum has a subtle glitter finish, and while its “glass skin” glow may not be for everyone, it’s ideal for those who wear it with makeup.
Mayskin Moisturizers and Sunscreens:
Mayskins Daily Dew Moisturizer is a great must-have for dry skin (€1,699, buy here) with a blend of 4% niacinamide and 14 plant extracts, including ginseng, bactiol, and hyaluronic acid. The lightweight, gel-like formula nourishes and repairs the skin barrier, making it ideal for dry to combination skin types.
If there’s one thing that’s non-negotiable when it comes to daily use, it’s sunscreen. It can be hard to find a daily essential that beats the rest. Mayskin’s Sunny Drip (€1,500, buy here) ticks most of the boxes. The broad spectrum SPF 50 formula feels light when applied and doesn’t leave a white film behind. As for other benefits, the jury’s still out: From increasing collagen to reducing sunburn, this reviewer has yet to notice a noticeable difference after 10 days of consistent use. Plus: Mild coconut scent, a welcome change from the usual chemical smell of sunscreen.
