Things to do at home in the summer

The end of summer is a new beginning, bringing with it a desire for change and new energy. That’s why it’s important to take the opportunity and learn what you can do at home before autumn arrives.

Relax at home
It’s time to get rid of the useless items we’ve accumulated over the past few months due to lack of time or carelessness. When you’re in a relaxed and carefree mood, it’s easier to get rid of things you don’t really need: You can take your valuables to second-hand stores. Start with your wardrobe. If your friends do the same, you can spend an afternoon trying on clothes, accessories, and shoes and swapping them. It’s a bit like shopping, but… more affordable! End-of-summer cleaning has psychological benefits too; it can help you relax and start the day with more energy. Here are some small things you can do at home at the end of summer.

Neatly organized drawers
Empty drawers, clean insides, and sort items carefully. Consider the psychological interaction and find a place for each item according to the context in which it will be used. Provide a place for tools, especially for writing (useful if you have children): don’t forget to have a drawer for bills and money. Expiration date? You can hang these on plywood and use them as a bulletin board. Small boxes or storage containers and boxes can help you store small items such as screws, nails, ties, etc. There’s something there but I don’t know where it is… it seems like it’s not there! Save time and stress by keeping frequently used items in your kitchen sink for easy access.

color
With the rising temperatures in the summer months, it is a great time to paint the walls of your home. Before leaving, check if the walls need painting or repair. Choose colors that give energy and peace: fuchsia, pink, orange, when set correctly, will brighten the room and create a warm atmosphere. Don’t forget to cover the edges of the socket with masking tape, this will help prevent stains. Alternatively, if you don’t want to paint the walls, you can give them a new look by wiping them with a sponge moistened with water and Marseille soap: this will remove scratches and polish and leave a fresh scent. Want to make a change without much effort? Use stencils to decorate your walls and unleash your creativity with a personal touch.

Clothes Smell
Make the most of the summer months when doing your laundry: Hang your laundry outside if you can; this will save you money on your energy bill and help the environment, not to mention keep your laundry smelling fresh. Did you draw the curtains? While the washing machine is in, clean the windows and frames with a brush and then a wet sponge. Keep clothes, blankets and sheets in separate piles: For hygiene reasons, it is best to wash underwear or towels, as towels are no less dirty than underwear and pants.
